Yoga In the Garden
Spring into relaxation with yoga in the garden! We’ll be led by Nati of Yoga Here & Now SD for an hour of yoga followed by soothing sound healing.
Our class is open to all levels and donation based (so, give whatever you can!) The majority of the funds raised will be donated to a rotating organization.
Please make sure to bring your own mat, blanket for under your mat, any props that will best support your practice, and a water bottle. There is water and a bathroom on site.

Spring Wreath Making Workshop
Join us for our spring wreath making workshop! You’ll learn how to work with natural vines to create a one-of-a-kind wreath. The garden will provide grapevines and twine to create your base. Please bring any additional decorations, scissors, and tools needed to build your perfect spring wreath.

Soil Building Workshop
Understanding the physical and chemical characteristics of your soil will help you succeed in planning, planting, and maintaining a healthy and productive garden. Join master gardener Nicki Vollrath for this 2-hour workshop where you’ll get to know the living ecosystem of soil in your garden. Learn how to find out if you have healthy soil, and how to build your own nutrient-rich soil bed. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!
About Niki Vollrath:
Niki holds a B.S. in Soil Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and a M.S. in Tropical Agriculture from University of Hawaii - Manoa. She was a Soil Scientist for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Hawaii and California.

Native Seed Toss + Chili Potluck
Come for the native seed bomb toss, stay for the homecooked meal! We’re packing this event with a whole lot of hearty fun. If you love native plants or even just tossing things, set your sights on our hillside—we’ve got nearly 100 seed balls that are ready to launch. Afterwards, we’ll have our chili potluck, so bring a side, your favorite chili recipe, or some chili fixings to share.

Part II: Help Build Donation Beds
Our Cooperative Growing Project is growing, literally! We’re redesigning our current donation plots into longer rows to increase our yield. Join us for our final build day to assemble the last of the beds and fill them with fresh soil. All skill levels welcome. 100% of the produce grown in these beds will go directly to local nonprofits.

Join us for a morning of growth and connection! Experience the power of breathwork and yoga, followed by a serene garden tour. This event will be hosted by Nati and Jordi of Yoga Here and Now. Suggested donations are between $5 - $20.

Seed Starting & Garden Workshop
Join us for a workshop on winter seed starts and urban gardening with guest expert Idzai Mubaiwa! Idzai has been farming professionally in San Diego for 15 years and is an expert in maximizing production in urban gardens. She’ll also be sharing a meal of African sadza and stew.
Seeds and start materials will be available at the event, or you can bring your own. The suggested donation is $20.

Fall Harvest Potluck
It’s officially fall! Join us for a feast of shared harvests and fun. Please bring a dish that you’re excited to share. We’ll be cooking up burgers and veggie patties on site. See you at the garden.
